Secured temporary planning permission in March 2021 for the opening of a new local shop at the Inn at Huxley near Tattenhall, selling local produce. The shop was originally allowed to trade for 12 months, before detailed planning permission for permanent use was granted by Cheshire West and Chester Council in June 2023, notwithstanding the restrictions on such facilities in place in the Council's own development plan.
